01

Who we are

The BlackNight Group (TBN Group) is a startup programme run by its founders. We are the controller of the personal data you share through this website.

02

What we collect

When you apply: your name, email, optional phone number, university and course, skills, links you choose to share, your answers to the application questions, and whether you apply solo or with a team (including anything you tell us about your teammates).

Technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent, used only to prevent spam and abuse, plus the campaign or QR code that brought you to the form.

03

Why we use it

To review your application, contact you about the programme, form teams and run the intensive. Our lawful basis is your consent (given when you submit) and our legitimate interest in running a fair, secure selection process.

We never sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.

04

Where it’s stored

Applications are stored in a secured database (Supabase) and application notifications are delivered by email (Resend). Access is limited to the founders of The BlackNight Group and the people who help run the programme.

05

How long we keep it

Up to 24 months after the cohort you applied to, so we can consider you for future cohorts — or less, if you ask us to delete it sooner.

06

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tbngroup.club and include your application reference.
